ADHD SERVICES
Progressive Behavior Management offers services that address children diagnosed with ADHD. Many children each year are diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). Current investigative reporting by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is that 5.2 million children between the ages 3-17 years old were diagnosed with ADHD. Further their report indicates that 12% are boys and 4.7% are girls*.
Common behaviors that are observed for children diagnosed with ADHD include failing to pay close attention to details, making careless mistakes in schoolwork and other tasks., has problems staying focused with any tasks, is easily distracted, is forgetful, is fidgety or squirming frequently, has difficulty playing quietly, will blurt out the answers before questions are asked, has difficulty waiting for his/her turn, and often interrupts others.
Our agency addresses these behaviors by conducting a Functional Behavior assessment and developing a Behavior intervention plan to decrease the problematic behaviors and shape up alternative behaviors to these targets. These services are implemented within the environment that the behaviors are present in.
